Update from Bruce @ the races

ok...here it is

first race of the day. Lap 1 Pantera spins out and sinks. as of this report, Jo and Pepe went to the hospital. Ive been told they were just shakin up and bruised and the boat was still on the bottom. High risk spun out and was sinking . their crew went to the hospital as well. I dont have a report on their staus.

Lavey craft won in F-1, Speed wear fountain in F-2

Green eyed boat babe and glass dave did great in their vigin batboat ride but lost their power steering early. Traffic light took p-3 and Agitator took P-1, both uncontested.

Spiderman took Super V followed by Ettore

Desantis took Super Cat and Liquid Metal took Supercat Light

Reliable flipped early in the race and Can Can Do retired early too, after a spin out in the harbor.

Brioschi was right on the heals of Desantis the entire race until Airborne put some pressure on him in the last lap. Brioshi then spunout in turn 6 and rolled over. giving up second place to Airborne. All are OK!!!!!!!

Great day of racing. Just wish there were more boats.

Jo and Pepe -

Extremely happy to hear you guys are ok, sore, bruised and hurting I'm sure but thats better than the alternative!!!

I thought the boat sank? Glad to hear they got it on the trailer but how?

Try to rest, heal and enjoy the upcoming holidays.

I talked to Jo and Pepe last night, both will be all right and in good spirits. Pepe will undergo an MRI today and hopefully will be getting out today or tomorrow. Pepe said he was hurting pretty good but he is a tough oldschool guy and has a good sense of humor about it.
No structural damage to the boat and as of 7pm last night they had one of the engines running again and were hoping to fire up the other.
Some glass damage to the back where the water pressure got under a naca duct and tore off some glass.
other than that, A broken gimble,a small tear in the upholstery, and a beat up skeg is the only damage.
Pepe and Joe said it was some painful R&D but were happy the boat held up so well.
Joey said the GPS was reading 92mph when they rolled and he was thrown about 120 ft.
They are both very lucky and will be back
