96 black pantera

BRUCE SEROFF 01-10-2004 05:39 PM

the black does get extremely hot, but the upholstery is green, so it shouldn't be too bad.

that boat was up for sale a while back by an OSO member.

seems to be in good condition. it will probably sell for around $50,000

Bill s Boat

This should be fun to watch 7 days left. I drove this Pantera and looked it over good. popcorn anyone!!

jeff bratton 01-11-2004 09:41 PM

how did boat run? what kind of shape is it in?

Caincando1 01-12-2004 08:17 AM

Yep, that's a Bill Dahl(sp) boat. That's not a huge problem as long as the price reflects it.

I though Too Old was selling it???

Oh and the fact that it's never been titled will come back to bite you. Who ever buy it will be responsible for paying the sales tax.

Not if you live in N.H.

Cool, you don't have to pay sales tax on new boats in NH?

Caincando1 01-12-2004 10:19 AM

Oh I almost forgot. The add says that "Joey Nunez" built this boat for himself. Is this true???

Yeah, JO said this was going to be a race boat.....but was sold to Bill. I forget the details.

Best thing about being the original owner......it entitles you to the lifetime warranty.

As if you would ever have to use the warranty..............:D

Good point. Nothing like buying a boat 8-10 year old boat and getting a life time warranty.;)

JO - PANTERABOATS 01-12-2004 04:13 PM

I was building this hull and deck for myself in 1995 and ended up selling the hull and deck with a flourescent green cockpit upholstery to Bill Dahl at Performance boats in Peoria, Ill.The lamination is all there.

I did not rig this boat, and the boat did not have the cabin upholstered.I think Bill ended up doing some type of upholstery in the cabin but not up to our standards.I have seen the rigging in pictures and I can tell you it will not be up to our standards either.I believe the boat was powered by a single 550 HP big block with a Bravo 1 and extension box.I think Bill told me it was running in the 77-78 MPH range. I think Bill also had the Jungle graphics done up in Peoria.

I got away from selling hull and deck blanks for this reason.Overall I think it is a boat that performs well just a little rough around the edges.

JO-Pantera Boats

This boat does maybe 70 drove it in a 2ft chop WOT trimed, my 28 with twinBBC that I sold to a board member would eat this one up. To much money for a cool paint job its not worth 50K. And the trailer is not the same as the pic. No trim tabs!!

jb 01-13-2004 12:08 PM

whats the thouoghts on whats it worth???35 - 40?

bearpaw 01-14-2004 11:10 AM

Been There

I offerd 30K about a year ago after the test drive oil was spilling into the bilge, and boat lists to port untill you get to about4000 RPM, bottom has scrapes with gel gone from beaching. I thought that 30K was very fair. Ive had three Panteras over 22 years all three have been great:D

BRUCE SEROFF 01-20-2004 09:44 AM

Bidding ended at $29, 600
Reserve was not met. So expect to see it listed again

jb 01-20-2004 10:12 AM

I think it did what its worth...anyone else think so?

Wildchild212 01-22-2004 08:47 AM

I love Jo and Pepe's black boats, and the green interior makes it that much more

BRUCE SEROFF 02-28-2004 08:31 PM

Finally sold for 30K...Probably needs about 10K worth of work.

bearpaw 02-29-2004 07:36 AM

I offered 30K a year ago,oh well go figure. That 28 needs lots of accessories it doesn't even have a cover. Hope He gets every thing he payed for!! Plenty of room to make it nice. Good Luck:D anybody seen Angel ? he hasn't been on the board lately.

jb 02-29-2004 09:08 AM

still ok at 30k... alwyas worth what he puts into it

BRUCE SEROFF 02-29-2004 09:12 AM

No doubt......additional 10k will be money well spent.

If the new owner shops his parts, he can make that a sweet boat for less than 50k. Its got the foundation.

ITS A PANTERA

with a little TLC, hes got one sweet ride
