Wonder when Pantera started putting in a 140 gallon tank?

Mines a '94 with a 120

Yep. That would have got me home!:D

What is that cross support 2x4, did you put that in? It doesn't look like it has any fiberlass to keep water out?

What is your project you are doing?

That's what I thought too Von Bongo. There are two of those crossmembers. I've been over every square inch of this boat and they are the first non-resin coated, non-fiberglassed pieces of wood i've seen. That's one of the reasons this panel was removed. It's the only area that hasn't been looked at. I spoke with Pepe last week but forgot to mention to him what I had found.

Bill Dahl rigged the boat. Whether that included the fuel tank, I'm not sure. Looks like it though, don't it? Hopefully JO or Pepe will chime in.

We are thinking about dropping the floor. My wife Teri doesn't really like the looks of it though. We'll see.

Mine is a '96 and I have the 120 gallon tank also. I don't remember when Jo told me they started putting in 140's.

My boat is a '99 and I believe it holds 140.....

JO - PANTERABOATS 01-23-2004 04:04 PM

We went up to 140 gallons around 1999.There is the last 5 gallons of gas that are unaccounted for in the tank. When you get to a 1/4 tank run for the nearest fuel pump.

The 2 by 4 is put over the tank to hold it down while the 4 pound density foam is poured in and begins to rise.

Regards,

JO
