Hey George,
Congratulations on buying your Pantera!
It's a year later than you and I talk about my black one, but you did finally get your hands on a beauty.
Good Luck!

Good Luck Georges with the new ride!!

Throttle down...hands on the wheel...hell - you'll need another hand to hold onto your...........oops!!

It just dawned on me that this wasn't the UnCensored section. :D

Pat McPherson 02-19-2004 09:30 PM

Well Georges,
I bought a 24' Superboat to replace my 24' Pantera Sport. Needed a boat with a full cabin...
Good luck with her!
These 7' wide rockets run the rough better than most boat 4 feet longer...

Seriously George,

I have a few too many things on my plate right now(and for the last year or so, that is why I did not buy it off EBAY, or from Dave), but hope to have things in line within a year, and that is the boat I will be in the market for, so if you decide to go larger, or need to sell for any reason, let me know.

How about an early test ride sometime????

Rick

I think I have just reached the beginning of the tunnel with this engine situation*%#!*!
Oh well, it's in good hands and it's only money!

Did you check out the one in Hialeah yet?

GB

thedonz 02-22-2004 11:19 PM

not yet, decided to wait until my boat sells....what are you doing with the engine???????

georges 02-23-2004 08:26 AM

I had thought the motor was all put together, as in one piece and it was just a matter of dropping it in!
It's basically a block with heads installed and the rest of it is in 6 or 7 boxes!

thedonz 02-23-2004 09:37 AM

ouch, ......well, just think how great it will be in a few weeks when you are on the water!!!

George, if I remember correctly, you called me on Christmas eve and spoke to me for about 30 minutes
in regards to all the parts that was sold with the boat. I also mention to you, when you asked about the motor that the motor was just the long block and all the parts were in diffrent boxes, however, I know for a fact that Dave sent everything the same when I sold him the boat.In any case, if you need anything, dont hesitate to call me. Good luck George

georges 02-25-2004 04:48 PM

I don't have a problem with it if all of the parts just need to be re-attached.
So far, we've had to replace the intake manifold.
I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Georges, All the parts in those boxes are what Albert gave me when I bought it from him like I said. I hope everthing goes well & good luck. Dave

georges 02-25-2004 07:46 PM

I know that feeling well.:(

georges 02-27-2004 09:35 PM

ROTFLMAO!
It didn't look quite that bad, the heads were bolted on!:D
I spent 3 hours today in Sarasota, in the bilge, cleaning the engine compartment, so that Dr Smith and his team of surgeons can have a sterilized work environment when they perform the installation.
The batteries are still charged up after sitting for nearly a year, almost everything worked.
It's a great looking boat...................
but it's going to be better! :D

Here is how it looked when the motor was in there;)

georges 03-05-2004 09:17 PM

Albert,
What is all that empty space above the fuel tank, just forward of the engine compartment?
Also, did all of the gauges work the last time you ran the boat? Thanks.

GB

MIAMIBOYZ 03-06-2004 09:32 AM

that was when the interior and motor were removed, and all the gauges worked, the rigging is new.

818181 03-11-2004 04:49 PM
