Default How fast will this boat run?

Been scoping out a few 28s here and there. Came across this one of boat trader. It has a claimed speed of 75 mph. Will she run that? If not, how fast should she run?

NO, not in a full pleasure boat. More like high 60's, maybe 70 on fumes in fresh water.

Thanks Griff.

That 28' is owned by Mark at Bentley powerboats and is powered by a single Mercruiser HP500 ( 470 HP ) carburated and has been gps at 70-71 MPH with a labbed 4 blade in fresh water.

Nice 28' Single.

Thanks again all.

I'll keep this in mind while I'm patiently shopping.

cough, whipple, cough- oh wait a minute, then you'd outrun me, plenty fast like it is.

Lake is up, 6 more inches of water and I'd be chicken to go under the bridge

I do like that boat, checked it out myself last fall, and Mark will take trades too.

Ken,

The trade thing has come to mind for me too. I'm gonna call him in the AM.

My sister called me yesterday and gave me the water level update. I'd hate to see you spend the first part of your summer on the wrong end of the lake.
