Here is the latest scoop :

We are working on a new custom made 28' open bow rider for Tab OSO member that will be powered by a single 500 EFI.

We are excited to enter a new arena.This will be a hard core bow rider.

Tab will be boating in Southern California with it.

I can't waite to see that boat. Sounds great to me. You ought to be boating in it by 2008. Ask Pantera the delivery date of Fullthrottle525's BOAT? Ron has been waiting since September 2002 for his. I understand Pantera has some interior issues with it.

Boss272 - How can you bash like that? You have no right to even bring up the fact that these deliveries are years past due! That isn't fair for people thinking about buying Panteras. They might find out the truth that 8 weeks is really ?? years. The nerve you have!

JROMY Thanks for Concurring. I have several friends who have gone through the Pantera Ordeal. I use to let them ventilate on me. They were always afraid to ask Pantera questions reguarding delivery dates. As I recall Pantera does not give a delivery date. They give excuses and the SOON date. I really like Pantera Boats. I know for a fact that if I was in charge of their business I would turn it around overnight. This is only my opinion but I believe they run their business as a hobby and not as a Boat Manufacturer. I believe they need to spend more time building boats then racing them. They are burning the candle at both ends and their customers are suffering. Just my 2 cents.

Domz - why is asking about delivery such a no no? Don't you think there is something a bit off here? FT 525 has made NO changes to the spec of his boat (look at the other thread). The boat only needed bolsters bolted in and a drive put on months ago. Don't you think Pantera should take care of the commitments they have before they take on more new projects? I am not a trouble maker. I am only looking at the obvious which has been posted here. If you have to wait 2 more years for your boat, can you honestly say you won't mind? Remember - FT 525's boat was in the same state of construction that yours is now - a year ago!

JROMY, what is your concern of my boat? Is it your money, is it your boat or do you have a pantera? Also, what would you call what you are writing about Pantera? I would say you are being a trouble maker. Maybe that your nature and you just dont no. Thanks for your inquiry about my boat, but please that is my buisness and iam very happy w/Pantera[JO, PEPE, LINDA AND BARBIE]. Maybe you should start looking a another boat company to put down. Pantera stands behind their boat for life, and works with there customer for life. THANKS DOMZ

Why don't you two little girls pull up your panties and go to another forum.

The situations, deliveries, and customer service of Pantera Boats has nothing to do with you, it is between Pantera and the customer. To just shoot your mouths off here is just demonstrating your ignorance and/or jealosy. Ignorance to the facts and jealous that you don't own a successful offshore boat company like the Nunez's.

The Nunez's have been building boats since 1974. I'm sure if they were treating customers bad, always late on deliveries and having financial problems they would not have the following and reputation that they do today.

Boss 272, you state you could turn the business around overnite. I'm sure you could - turn it right into an out of business sign!! What do you do for a living other than make an ass out of yourself in public forums?

I see you one of your first posts on OSO from November '03 is:

"Sounds Like another Company on here. PANTERA?
Give those guys all the money up front, They build themselves a race boat with your money and make you waite till someone buys another boat so they can do the same to them."

Seems like you are obsessed with Pantera. Either buy one or move along. There's no place for you here.

Thanks for the kudos gentlemen. This boat will be exceptional and will be a very popular model for Pantera going forward. My family and I look forward very much to enjoying it soon. For those of you that are spreading negativity toward Pantera, please call Jo and Pepe to discuss. There are two sides to every story, and if you haven't heard theirs, you aren't doing any of us any good. If you then still feel you have facts regarding multiple significant delivery problems, and you feel so inclined to continue pursuing your information campaign, present your facts. Let's not dwell on a couple of stories because **** sometimes happens between individuals that ocassionally cause deals to go bad. Just because you have only heard one side of the story doesn't make that side right. Be fair, this is their livelyhood. For the sake of you and your children, you would'nt want someone trashing your business without knowing all the facts, and you would'nt like it much if the trashing was based on a deal or two that went bad that was not your fault. Stop your ****. Call them, then let us know what facts you have good or bad. Fundamentally I don't see a disservice in telling both sides of this situation but base it on the rule not the exception and know all the facts before presenting your comments. Ron, 500hp is the plan for now. If Jo gives me one last chance to step up to the 525 I may still take him up on it. I'm kinda trying to stay within some form of a budget. That sounds kinda funny at the price of all boats these days. Thanks, Tab

If you plan on doing a lot of saltwater running then maybe the 525EFI should be considered..otherwise the 500HP is a good choice.

OKAY Tab:

The 525EFI has a partial self cooled system which protects some of the main components from salt water corrosion (checkout the mercury racing section of Mercury marine's website and read about the engine). I believe the 496HO also has this system. This is a main reason for my stepping up to the 525EFI from the 500 for the additional dough. The re-sale value will be improved by opening up the market to potential purchasers. Additionally, the HP rating of the engine is much higher than Mercruiser states. So, overall you'll get more horsepower for the money and better re-sale value based on the closed cooling system. This is just my opinion. Better to read and ask more questions, then formulate an opinion. Hope this helps.
