anyone familiar with the old P & D boats with Volvo 280 outdrives? 25' with 350 SB? any info re build quality, handling, reliability of 280 outdrive, etc. boat looks like an old Pantera. thanks

Yeap they "look" like a Pantera but ...they do NOT ride like one.
For an entry level boat it's not bad if your getting a good deal.
The 280 Volvo is an old but extremely trustworthy drive as long as it's been maintained and it's not overpowered. I had one on my old 1985 24' pantera and it never let me down.
The P&D hull has a tendency to list to one side. Also look to make certain that the transom and stringers are solid. Again it does not have the build quality of a Pantera but it can be a good entry level boat if you gettin a good price and it's in good condition structurally. Good Luck
