Mercury Caps
Hey Guys:
I have some real small leaks coming from the yellow caps that cover the reservoirs for the tabs and tilt. Anybody know of some better caps or where I can get some gaskets? I've heard that all of these leak. Thanks in advance. Ron |
Re: Mercury Caps
Ron they use to sell some right here on the board before that were supposedly better, but I looked for them and can't find them now.
But yes they all leak to some degree from what I understand. Angel |
Re: Mercury Caps
Ron,
I have also had the same problem, with the yellow caps leaking. I replaced the yellow caps with a the "Turbo Sonic Performance Cap" that Teague Custom Marine sells for about $14.00 each. Part#TSC ENJ-920 They come in a variety of colors. Have not leaked since. There number is (661)295-7000 Jeff |
Re: Mercury Caps
Ron, I put those caps from Teague on mine and they solved the problem as well.

Re: Mercury Caps
Ron, you can order them at Speedwake.com
And at the same time, you support the site. Look in the store, under leak proof caps. $15.95 / includes frt. I ordered some, came in 2 days. |
Re: Mercury Caps
Don't be surprised if your turbo sonic caps leak too

Re: Mercury Caps
Thanks Guys:
Just ordered them. |
Re: Mercury Caps
They all leak if you run hard. Turbosonics are spewing all over my bilge!!!
They're better than stock, but not the answer! Boy Ron, seem like your problems have sure diminished....that's great!! Glad your out running, sounds like its running well. Kirk |
Re: Mercury Caps
Merc has a new cap, still yellow, that is much better than the old one. It should be on newer drives and Kplanes. I think that the old part number supercedes to the new one. I'll find out what the new part number is and get back.
