Hey jo I was just wondering if we could get any more info on the 32 pantera, as far as is it going to be a stepped bottom boat or conventional bottom?? Any small tid bits you could tell would be great?? Doesn’t seem to be too much info on the web site??

That is a preliminary drawing on my website for the new Pantera 32'. Our plans are to offer the Pantera 32' in a twin stepped version and in a full 24' degree deep v.

It will have similar lines to our 36' Survivor model.

I will keep you all informed in the coming weeks.

Our plans are to eventually keep the 28' model as a single engine application and the 32' as a twin.

Jo do you have any prices on the 32 and when are you going to start building them? Jo or anybody else out there with an older 28 (1982), is there any problem areas in these boats to look for? Has anybody ever head stringer or transom problems? I had a 1999 and traded it on a cruiser now I want another one.

Thanks stormrider for the info. From looking at the boat you would never have guessed that it was in that bad of shape. I have even called the guy that traded it into National and he told me that it was a good boat. He said he had just redone the engines. It now has superchargers with chillers he says 645hp. I asked and he said it had never been underwater. Are those the engines that it had when you looked at it? What year did you end up getting? You don't happen to know of any older ones for sale that are in good shape. If you have anymore info on water heater you can email me at [email protected]

Nope... thats all I got.
When I saw it it looked OK, but not those engines.
But after the others' experiences, I didn't proceed.
I currently have a 1995 24ft and she is in immaculate condition.
Currently building a new engine. That should keep me happy for atleast a few more years.
I don't know of any older 28s for sale, and being in NY, I am at a disadvantage. Most being in FL or out west.

Just wondering about twins vs. single in a 28, Which one rides better in rough water, I had a 99 with twins, I thought it rode awesome maybe a little tail heavy but good ride. Does a single ride better?

Big:

I have a single 525EFI and the boat is very well balanced. I personally don't like when the boat is in the air and upon re-entering the water one engine will catch before the other. It kind of pulls one way or the other depending on which side catches first. Not a lot, but just enough where I didn't feel comfortable. Although it is very well balanced as well, I didn't feel comfortable with that feeling. Just my opinion and I'm sure there are many who have twins would refute this. Less ass in the water with a single.

Bearpaws 28 was sold and is now in NJ.
Singles, twins, either way you can't go wrong.

I have Bearpaws 28 it has twins 468.Im pulling the motors this weekend to put new roller cams.

Craney what year is your boat? Do you know of any 28 with twins for sale? These things are hard to find. What is the better boat Apache or Pantera? I have found 2 28 apaches, wondering how the ride and speed compare to the 28 Pantera?

Hi Dale,

I may have a 1999 28' powered by twin 7.4 MPI Mercruiser packages that may be coming in on trade very soon.

I will let you know if any other 28' pops up.

My 28 is a 89 with 468s & TRS drives.Check out the classifieds & give Jo a call.Witch is better Pantera or Apache no ?? PANTERA you can always pickup the phone & call Jo or Pepe who can you call at Apache???

Hey Jo when are the 32's going to be out? What is the pricing going to be?

Oooold thread but still intresting. One of my future plans is a nice 32 step hull with a single +1000hp on SSM VI. Race sit down cockpit. I have been looking for 32 Activators (only 5-6 built). But a 32 Pantera with the lines of the black 35 raceboat would be nice, very nice. So is it time to go pick up the drawings again? :D //Mange

Have you seen the 32Badboy?

We could do a seamless sitdown Pantera 32' from our existing Pantera 36' mold with no problem.It would look just like the black 35' minus 3 feet.
