DOMZ - quick carpet question

Dom,

How do you like your carpet?
Do you like it better than just the rubber pirelli flooring?
I'm thinking of putting carpet of my pirelli.

Is your carpet snapped in place, or is it just laying on the floor.

Thanks for your help.
Boats looking great!

If anyone has experience or input let me know.

Rob

PS - I tried to PM you this but you inbox is full.

Re: DOMZ - quick carpet question

The snap in carpet is put down over the light Gray Pirelli rubber non skid flooring. It does give the boat a warmer feel in the cockpit especially when boating up North in the cooler months. To wash the boat down I recommend just pulling it out.

We have several new boats on order that will have Snap in carpets in the cockpit.

Regards,

JO

Re: DOMZ - quick carpet question

Do you think the carpet would stay in place w/o snaps?
And if not, where would you put the snaps?

It would stay in place with no problem.

Stormrider,

I much rather not have to deal w/ the snaps either but i noticed in a few buddies of mine boats (35+ foot non Patera) w/ larger cockpits on occassion the air starts swirling around lifting up the corners or flaps that are cutout for around seat leags etc. Jo would obviously know best whether this problem occurs in the Pantera.

Rob:

My carpet sits just fine and comes in three(3)sections; 1 under each bolster and the other in front of the rear bench then tees toward the cabin. Holds just fine and really feels great on the feet. Very easy to snap-in and out. I'd definitely recommend it.

Stormrider, sorry it took so long to post. I would recommend the carpet. If possible, i would go w/the snaps. It is easy. DOMZ

Re: DOMZ - quick carpet question

Thanks, guys.
My father is in the snap business, so I guess I could always add them later. I think it will be a nice addition to the cockpit.
Over and out!!!
