I don't know how they finished but the boat looked great! We idled around Lake Boca taking pics in a 38 Top Gun that has a pink and black stripe going down the side.

Re: Pantera Runs F2 in Deerfield
Yes, we did have the fastest boat in F-2 yesterday!!! After a real bad start, we fell behind a good 300" behind the leading Donzi by the time the boat got to the Southermost check point, Jo had allready caught up to him and turned on the inside. racing back to the pier with the right engine cutting on and off they made it side by side. I found it harder to watch than to race!!! My hat is off to Jo, he has made me very proud to watch him race. Pepe.

Re: Pantera Runs F2 in Deerfield
By the way it was Mike Gerard driving. He used to throtle AIRBORNE / SLOPPY JOES Supercat about three years ago, they made a real good team since he is a hard core racer w/ NO FEAR like Jo! later, pepe.

Pepe:
It was nice to see you and Linda yesterday. Sorry it didn't turn into the win we all knew was coming! Thedonz: Nice meeting you and your family, we'll see you all in KW. :drink: To all you cynics: It had nothing to do with Mike Girard driving, he is one of the great ones! Albert: We missed you out there racing yesterday, we were looking forward to the Miami Boyz kicking some bootie  :D Rick: Where the hell where you? We will see everyone in KW next month! :D :D :D GB |

Never made it to the pier, I took Friday off from work, and hung around the pits, watching everyone roll in. Saturday during the day, I had some work to do around the house, so I didnt get back to the pits 'til party time, and Sunday I was trailer boy for the ScottB, and the Kean Team, so needless to say I kept Busy in the Wetpits line, watched his race from a rooftop at the start/finish. We will be in key West Saturday Morning, 'til after the race on Sunday. See ya then. Rick |

Re: Pantera Runs F2 in Deerfield
Hey guys,
We had a hard time getting up on plane at the start since the Hydromotive 4-blade props began to cavitate really bad due to the sea conditions. Once up on plane we fell back approximately 250 - 300 feet from the F2 field. We had 18 boats on our start including Super V, P1, P2, and F2. By the time we got to the first turn approximately 2 miles away we had passed the the AC - Delco Donzi, the Harwich Concrete Fountain, the Simmons Racing Phantom, and pulled up side by side with Audacity in the JBS racing Donzi. We were both side by side in the turn and the race was on from that point on for first place. On the outside leg We took a large wave at wide open speeds and upon re-entry had the Starboard motor begin to loose power. It turns out that the engine harness plug - in was the cause for this happening. We are going through the entire boat and we will be ready for the worlds. I look forward to racing with a great group of F2 competitors at Key west. F2-71 is very fast and handled the rough water conditions with ease. Regards, JO - Pantera |
