My boat is SOLD!
 

I left the boat with the new owners this morning...
Thery're good guys, and I know they'll take good care of it. (I wouldn't have sold it to a hacker)
The new owner is vr6maniac here on OSO..

I owe a special thanks to Pepe and Jo.
They truely are great people... They've helped me with the boat since day one... They'll always be #1 in my book.

I'll be after another one...once I regroup....

vr6maniac- Take care of my baby....or I'll hunt you down and... well, let's just say it's in your best intrest to love that boat as much as I did...


They say the two best days of boat ownership are the day you buy it, and the day you sell it. Not in this case my friends...not in this case..

I remember the day I sold my 28 I couldn't do any thing all day. But my son kept saying dad will get a bigger one,thats louder. I hope Blue Balls is still making noise in NJ :D :D :D

One day has past since I sold the boat.
I felt sick all yesterday... :(
Today I feel "naked" or something...not owning a boat...
Weird because I have a demo boat that I run 3 days per week for work... It's no Pantera... Maybe that's the problem.

I'm going to mix a nice 72oz J.Beam and Coke and go sit in the hot tub and try to find something else to think about... :drink:

I feel somewhat of a loss also, as I considered that boat a sistership of sorts with mine. You heard him vr6maniac....take care of that boat! :D

Tim I`m happy you sold your boat after all you have been threw, however you know as long as I have mine you can come along and drive it anywhere I go.

Yup ! We bought Tim's 28, We spent a couple days detailing the boat, and then took it for a short ride during monday afternoons small craft warning. The boat performed flawlessly. Sorry we had to remove the green eyes, a little much for me. Don't worry the boat WILL be very well maintained, I have 16 years of experience working on 140 foot plus motoryachts, so I do know the TRUE meaning of boat maintenance. Unfortunately, I don't have the budget of my past bosses, if I did Richie Zul would be on my speed dial list ! Tim you have an open invitation, to go out any time ! I'm looking forward to meeting some Pantera owners to do some cruising with !!!

Thanks for the warm welcome. Owning a boat of this caliber is a dream come true, I know it will be good to us...We're looking forward to cruising with some other Pantera owners. Thanks to Jo and Pepe for there guidance through this purchase, they're "REAL" people...

Congrats, I am Glad that boat stayed local. I have been on your boat many times with Tim. I am up the road from you a bit, but we run down that way occasionally. I am restoring a 1981 24 pantera Single outboard, its ugly for now, but not for long, should be done sometime next summer, and we should get together for a run(just dont run me over :D ).

Rick, good luck with your project ! Definetly let's "get together"...We just dumped a load $$$ into the trailer today to bring it up to snuff. Now I feel comfortable trailering the boat. Trailer brakes ARE a good thing ! We added a new graphics package,( LOL ) much like the others in this thread...All you Pantera folks please keep in touch...

Tim G are you the one that worked at National Marine in Florida, if so what a mess, sorry, any way is there anyway that you would know where that 28 pantera went that national had in Ohio or anybody else know where it went. It was a 1982 and had Heat Miser on the side of it. I was looking at it a week or so before they got locked up and have been looking ever since for it. Talked to some friends last week and they said that cumberland Marine was buying some of the boats. Called them they said they did and they had been told about the Pantera but they didn't get it. Any help anyone?

Water Heater 28' went to a new owner in Ohio that also owns a 24' Pantera and a few other performance boats. He called to ask me several questions a few weeks ago about the boat.

hey Jo this is Castle in Ohio, just wandering what you know about water heater, is the guy planning on doing any work to it or is he going to get rid of it, from what I know it got auctioned off. They closed the doors at National right after I called you about the boat. Any chance you have the guys name and number. Do you know of any other older 28's for sale?

There's another '99 for sale. I think it's on the west coast of FL... 310 Hps... Word has it that it's fairly rough and engines are tired. You may find it on Boat Trader Online....
