This is one of my two 632 c.i Pro Merlin Block with 18 degrees Big Chief Pontiac heads on display at the boat show this weekend in Mesa Balancings booth. These motors will be used in next years race season with Frank thedonz in a boat to race. Stop by the show on Saturday I will bet their all day in the booth with Laz Mesa.

Wow! Now thats impressive 1250 hp thats not on pump gas is it? In a 28 probably be a little too much for me. What kind of mph would you see with that much power? Also what kind of drive would be safe with that a #6 or arneson, or could you go with something less like #3 or comparative.

One other thing why do you use Pontiac heads? I understand the whole loyal thing my good friend has a 65 GTO with indian avenger block and uses Pontiac based things the car made 1007hp on the motor at the wheels. With a 225 shot(I do all the nitrous tuning for him) ran 8.57 in the 1/4( car weighs 3250 with him in it). He's die hard Pontiac, but is there a reason other than that for using Pontiac style heads.
Thanks, Mike

Mike this is not intented to be used on my 28, it is for our race boat for next season, it will be over 40 feet with a canapy, number sixes or fives will be used. We didnt use pump gas to be safe because with the amount of boost we pumped out 9 lbs.

Mike Pontiac heads or Big Chiefs as they are called are a Pro Stock head and produce far greater performance on these big cube motors. They flow on the intakes 444 [email protected],
flow exhaust 301 [email protected]. they are 104 cc on the chamber.
