I think the fun run will be earlier than August, usually the end of july but Powers or Marion Island as its called in west bay is a great place to hang out or the sand bar in Tourch lake.

Yea, I've heard about Torch Lake. I've been loing into property there.

Almost bought the Sand Bar shop, Party store on the torch river. I desided that I'd rather shop at one on Saturday then work at one on Saturday.

Make sure you post the dates I'll shift my Vacation. Boatin in a croud's more fun then solo

Hey Vic., depending on your boat size, Torch can be a little hard to get on. Launch sites could be better. That prob.is by design! Tracy

2006 fun run lets start planning now.

when? july 22 if we run out of charlevoix again, is the final day of venitian.

where? some route out of charlevoix?, back to the old route of bay harbor, beaver, mackinaw, cheboygan, mullett lake? head up to the soo and do the river, locks, and oh canada? loto on memorial? slips on mackinaw for the final destination?

give me some ideas and lets get this planned early.

Yo Bully Dog Scott! How go it? Would really enjoy do'n this again w/ everybody. Had an absolute blast last year. Laurie and I really enjoyed last years route because we ended up back in town and Mama here LOVES the fireworks that night. Just R take on it!! Tracy

Don't forget Georgian Bay, Some year I'd love to trailer to Alpena and then boat across to Georgian Bay it's only 80 miles across the lake.

Tracy, are you going to run the new Nortec in Boyne Thunder this year?

Scott, I don't think Mackinaw Is will work with you on getting slips for all the boats, even for a couple of hrs. Beaver will and also Bay Harbor will if you wanted to make that a lunch stop. I also talked to the boys that run that 2 guys and a grill and they said if you wanted they would raft up with you and make whatever you wanted for dinner, you just have to let them know ahead so they will have it onboard. I agree with Tracy on the fireworks. :drink: JB

Scott I like the old route ending up at your folks place. Its just different,the route from last year was good for keeping the conditions a little more predictable but who knows....The Soo sounds interesting or the North Channel would be really cool but I think you would need to make it a couple day run to enjoy it. This year my wife will be out of game yet with the baby due on the 5th of July but I hope to make it where ever we deceide to run. let me know if I can help...

I enjoyed all the routes that we have used so far. Due to the fact that some of us have smaller boats, the bay routes work well. Then also the route through the river is also a blast...I can not decide....damn....Dwight
