I am pleased to announce that we will be putting on a SPRING poker run on Lake George on May 19th and 20th to benefit Zippy's Crusade for Kids and also the Lake George recreation department.

This run is to replace the Demonstration race that we used to have on this weekend.

Details are as follows

Entry fee : $100.00
extra hands : $50.00
extra person : $25.00

Entry fee entitles you and a guest to a registration and cocktail party with finger foods on Friday night at Simple Simons Bar and Restaurant

Docking for for the whole event at the Town docking facility

A buffet style dinner will be served on Saturday night at Simple Simons Bar and Restaurant followed by the card opening and one hell of a party to follow.

There will be a crafts show and a band will be playing by the water. A Fireworks show will happen at dusk on the water

1st place money will be $2500.00 !!

Trophys will be awarded for :

Best looking crew
Best looking boat
Furthest traveled

The official hotel for the event will be the Fort William Henry right across from the Public Docks. Make sure you mention that your with the Queens Great Poker run when making reservations 1- 800 -234-0267 resevations must be made by May 3rd to guarenntee a room

Hey Bob ,

We booked rooms a few weeks ago after your thread saying the demo race would be on saturday the 20th and a poker run on sunday . Last years race was awesome , much better than we expected , you did a great job with it last year thought for sure it would be bigger and better this year . So what happend to the race ?

Is that a set in stone date for the run.I can't believe you would schedule such a big event not knowing I already had plans for that weekend.Just kidding,but I really do have a baptism for my cousin coming in from Spain that Sun.Maybe I could do the run and leave early on Sat. Do you have any times set yet?Let me know if you need a hand with any thing.

PS. I may need to rent a boat from Waters Edge if mine is not back together by then.Do they have any of those 16' bow riders with a 300bx on the back?

Insurance Prices killed the demo race. $6000k for the event, and I would not have anything to do with the event w/o it.

We are working on sponsorship for next year to cover the expense

The Poker Run will be a good one though !!

NO !! Thats my wifes boat and she will not allow me to run that in this event for fear of me breaking something, as I usually do on a run
