7th n. michigan fun run july 22 9:30
last year best hand was 1500, 2nd 750 and third 250. 26 boats last year i believe.
i know i will see all the regulars, hope to see some new faces as well. i expect anywhere between 20-75 boats this year.
there will be a boat this year with a poker table taking bets up to 10000, not sure what game they are playing but they have lost big before.

POKER/FUN RUN 2005

This year’s Route is as follows unless we change our mind which is likely: cards will be distributed in the last 5 locations:
Round Lake - Charlevoix
Northport
Suttons Bay
Traverse City
Marion Island
Round Lake – Charlevoix
We will be holding a meeting in Round Lake at 9:30 am SHARP to go over the route and answer any questions!
You may “put in” in Lake Charlevoix – the ramps are nice, water deep and docks long (yeah baby!!) and there is plenty of area to store your vehicle and trailer. We will launch from Ferry Beach in Charlevoix – plan to be there about an hour before the meeting time.
As in the past, Poker hands will remain $20.00/per. You may buy as many as you like – please let us know ASAP about how many hands you will want. We will collect CASH for each hand the morning of the event so that CASH may be given to the winner.
Dinner this year will be the same as last, drive up boat serving burgers and brats etc.
This year’s event will be run by wrinkleface (AKA tracy, tooth jockey) and we will be monitoring Channel 69. you know whats funny, he is finding that out as he reads this. sorry bud the torch has been passed. dont worry just get on the phone and spread the word. my life this year has been upside down, no time, new buisness opens on monday though!!!!!!!!!!!
We will be spending the night (for those of you who opt to) in Round Lake again this year. We will have a boat already anchored in the lake so that we may raft off. This is Venetian Festival Weekend, therefore, there will be fireworks for your enjoyment – we arranged this especially for the “Poker/Fun Run” (sure…) The only problem with this situation is that the “fuzz”, “water weenies”, “Coast Guard Cops”, will be “around” act as normal as you can.
come one come all, it should be fun. the group is friendly, stay the night the party after the fireworks is something i look forwqrd to every year. looking forward to seeing some new faces.
This should be another fun year – can’t wait to see everyone!!

We already have the campground spots reserved and look forward to seeing the gang.

Hey Wrink,
I am not sure how I got my dates mixed up but, I am glad they worked out in the end.
I have been going to the run for a few years now and would hate to break the streak plus miss all my northern friends.
