Meeting was very interesting to say the least. When and where are we getting together this weekend for an OSO members LG ride?

45 mph.

Use common sense, and go north on the lake past the Sirens, and they "usually" leave you alone.

Blow past Shelving Rock Bay at 70, and you are gonna get a ticket.

Yup, I saw you roll up, survey the scene and take off towards the Sagamore. That is a cool little boat. What is that? A mini-Hawk? My first boats were a 10 foot cougar cub with a 25 Merc and a 12 foot Baja Scat Cat(piece 'o crap) with a 35 merc. The Cougar cub was a mini replica of my dad's race boat, "The Black Duck", which was sold to Nicky Cutro in Lake George who ran it as "Boardwalk" and "Pennzoil." I'm sure you know of it...

I didn't get a ticket for excessive speed, but I did get one for noise. I have a stock 330HP 454 with thru hull exhaust on my 22 Scarab. I pulled up to the town docks at the south end of the lake and the water po-po's immediately came up to me and did a decibel check on me. i guess tehre is a 90 db limit on Lake george...I registered a 95.1, so out came the ticket book. Don't know how much it is yet, but it can be up to $250. Guess I'll stay away from the south end from now on...

Is your dad the one who drove "Sheer Terror?" or is that his partner? My dad knew Bobby Sheer well. They ran in different classes back in the early 80's. My dad never had a 24 skater. He had a 30' Chris Cat called "Duckin' Out" that was our 'pleasure' boat while growing up and various smaller boats. "Black Duck" was a 30' Shadow cat with triple 2.4's.
