Ohio River Poker Run
The 9th Annual Ohio River Poker Run will be held July 28 and 29 benefitting the CYO and ODB charities. The venue is at Watertown Marina located in Dayton, Kentucky (across from Cincinnati).
For the third consecutive year, we are most pleased to announce that Bobbye and John from HOTBOAT magazine will be covering the event!!!
Several new, nationally known sponsors have also signed on board and plenty of new cutting edge boats and equipment will be on display. This includes the latest work of art from (hometown boy) Phil at LIPSHIP Marine and (almost hometown boy) Bill Schumacher from Great Lakes Eliminator!
The cost for entry is $350/boat which includes captain and mate. Additional crew at $50/head. This includes t-shirts, gift bags and food (breakfast/lunch/dinner) on Saturday. Cheaper than a 15 minute run in the boost!
As usual the Friday pre-run party will be a blast.
Do to the number of entrants we will be running three (3) classes of boats to ensure a FUN and SAFE event. As usual we will be enforcing a strict NO ALCOHOL policy during the run itself.
If you have questions or are interested in checking this event out respond here or email ??? to [email protected].

ITLLFLI,
Oh yeah, some of the big boys are coming to play. We will have a VIP section and a manufacturers area where some real exotic stuff will be on display. That's why we added a third group to keep some seperation.
It's partially Poker Run and partially a manufactures venue to display their latest and greatest.
Watch for the upcoming articles in HotBoat. there are a few surprises coming. This is definitely going to be a don't miss event this year.

Dano,
What are the 3 classes? Broken down by speed? If so, what are the speed brackets? I'm debating on entering, but I have to make sure I'm not working that Saturday and how many people I got going. Thanx, Nixter

Nixter,
Yes its' by speed.
A class is Pace boat speed (all the 90mph plus boats)
B class is 70 mph
c class is 40 mph
All starts will be staggered. A will go in the opposite direction of B/C and then switch after lunch. We will be running pace boats during the course run so B/C will be pretty much a sustained speed. The A group will average (based on proximity to marinas and water traffic) usually in the 75-85mph range. We have to control speed rather closely to keep everyone safe. Typically the big twins run A, the single screws and some twins run B and the smaller singles/sport boats and cruisers run C. Hope that helps.
PS: Fountain factory will be attending (need to show the love!). The folks from the engine building icon Lingenfelter are also coming for the first time. Also new this year, the WEBN crew will be doing a live broadcast on Saturday from 12:30-2pm from the reef. Remember, not only is it a great time and an excellent way to meet fellow enthusiasts...It's tax deductible fun
Hope ya' can make it.
