I missed it last year, but made it the two years prior. Great event, good people. It's also one of the cheapest runs there are. The turnout was around 100 boats both years I was able to go. With it being moved to the weekend before Memorial Day, there shouldn't be as much traffic as there has been before. Here is the website:

Most everyone I've talked to is stay at one of the hotels off of exit 19 on I-85. There are several places Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express along with many more. We are staying on the boats at the marina. Friday they have a party at Charlie T's. We are staying to Sunday and will just play around a little that day.

I was wanting to stay on the water somewhere. I thought about a cabin or house for the weekend. I take it Charlie t's is on the water. I never been to Lake Hartwell so sort of don't know what to expect.

There are cabins available, just search on Google for cabin lake hartwell. The problem is I don't believe any of them are close to the poker run start.
Yes Charlie T's is a restaurant on the water. By land it is on exit 19 also.
If I can help you give me a call.
