The Bahamas poker run is an annual event, I'll have to ask Stu how many years he has been doing this run (to different islands) but I will guess this is his 8th annual trip. I've been doing it with the club for 5 years.

Just got back from the Abacos last weekend and saw all the signs promoting the 2nd annual Abaco Performance Boat Races during those same dates in July to be held at the Ferry Landing at Treasure Cay Abacos

15-25 depending on the seas. Last year was rough, seas 4ft +++. About 15 boats went.

I have attended two years in a row and had a great time. Mechanicals may keep me out this year but I will know for sure by next week.

I have been interested in doing this run for a while. We cruised to Bahamas this past April; beautiful. I would love to attend but finances may be an issue. Next year I am planning to attend. How would it be in A28 twin AT? Deep boat with dependable power; but a little short for rough, short wavelength seas. I'm sure it will be fine if we stick together @ 45mph.
What are the costs & accomodations like? When & where depart & return dates?

Boat will be fine but do you have a truck that can reliably tow that AT to FL?

We have 20 boats registered! And I still have rooms available. Our Lucaya is sold out, but I have rooms left in my block. Better hurry before they make me release them!

This run looks to be awsome. Stu sent me the DVD and I gotta say my wife and her best friend Stephanie watched the video.... They have been bugging me ever since.

How many miles is the run? and whats the usual travel time?

Sorry to bring up an old thread... but I really like this idea. I'm curious if these runs are still going every year, and if anyone has any info!
