Hi!!!!!

This is the second event of the season put on by Steve Collins of Chesapeake Performance Events. He's put a lot of hard work in to this event. It should be a really good time!

Friday night - Welcome Party!
7:30 p.m. - Tiki Bar, Solomons Island
Saturday - 8:00 a.m.- Registration and Breakfast at The Badfish Bar and Grill/Harbor Island Marina
9:00 a.m.- Mandatory Captains Meeting
10:00 a.m.- Depart Solomons for Kent Narrows
11:30 p.m.- Lunch at Red Eyes Dock Bar
1:30 p.m.- Depart Red Eyes for Calypso Bay
2:15 p.m.- Arrive Calypso Bay, Deale
3:30 p.m.- Depart Calypso Bay
4:30 p.m. - Arrive Solomons Island, Tiki Bar, Badfish, and Catamarans and prepare for banquet.
7:00 p.m.- Banquet / Awards at Vera's White Sands Beach Club!
*There are showers and bathrooms at Vera's for those wishing to stay on there boats, as well as a pool and beach area. A shuttle will be provided to and from the hotels for those wishing to use it.
Sunday - Lunch Cruise (Optional)


This poker run will be taking us up the Chesapeake Bay, to Kent Narrows for lunch, and returning to the Patuxent River for the Banquet and Party!

The Sunday lunch cruise will be a more laid back atmosphere for those wishing to participate!

Your enjoyment and safety are our main priority, we will have rescue personnel on the poker run with us!

RAMP - Solomons Boat Ramp (Pepper Langley Boat Ramp / Pier) beside Gov. Thomas Johnson Bridge, Solomons, MD.
There are 5 ramps wide enough for Cats, with plenty of parking. Larger vehicles see attendant for parking.

LODGING - Holiday Inn Select, Solomons, MD (410) 326-6311
Rate - $104.00 per night, must book by 07/03/07 and mention Roar from the Shore Poker Run to secure this rate.
Hospitality Marina is the host marina, rates $1.35 per foot, per day

Comfort Inn, Solomons, MD (410) 326-6303
Rate - $109.00 per night, must book by 07/03/07 and mention Roar from the Shore Poker Run to secure this rate.
Beacon Marina is the host marina, rates $1.25 per foot, per day. Can book through the Comfort Inn.

To Register, download attached form and return with copy of valid insurance policy and entry fee! Entry Fee is $290.00 for 2 people, includes Friday night welcome party, meals Saturday, Donation to Children's National Medical Center, 1-poker hand, and 2 T-shirts. Additional crew are $100.00 ea., Includes Friday night welcome party, meals Saturday, Donation to Children's Hospital and 1 T-shirt.

They do have cabs, however there is supposed to be a shuttle service. To answer Boatman's question, this is the second time for this run. I think there were 15 boats last year for the informal first time run. Lots of good stops on this run. Mark Steve did have a place at the Holiday Inn however he called to confirm and told me they only had a small room available. I agree, the ballroom at the Solomon's Island holiday inn would be the ticket. Steve has done a bit more advertising but I believe the schedule conflicts with a HRPA run.
