Lots of trouble in Hudon, Wi(Miss Croix River Run )

Just talked to a few friends in Hudson Wi. the police had a blast harrasing the poker run for the Miss Croix River Run. From what I have been told atleast 80% of the 90 + boats got noise tickets:eek: What a bunch of asses nothing like trying to make the money for the season in one day. I am sure the details will come out Sunday.
The friend told me the new MTI to the area (Dirty duck) was pulled over 7 times or for the seventh time not sure wich one?

This should be good. Everybody that got a ticket should show up in court at the same time and lay the tickets on the judges bench. wtf

I was at the run, and was getting a ride in the LUCKY7's Baja boat at the time they got pulled over for noise. I think they all were on some kind of a powertrip. Some of them were pulling over 2 at a time. I wonder if they would take the suggestion that all the fines be contributed to charity.

Yeah, they was stupid with all those cops there. I think i spotted 6 or 7 in one area.

I am confused

When we run our poker run (SOTW) we get permits that waive noise ordinance for the weekend

Was this an organized event ??? or a fun run??

Did the promotor miss this part of the preparation ???

who was pulling you over DNR ?? Marine Patrol ?? Coast Gaurd ??

It is my understanding that the organizers tried to get the noise ordinance waived for the run, but was unable to. It seems that several counties are involved, and everyone is saying if this county grants a permit, then they will, and then the next county says if the other county will waive, then they would. It is just sad that local governments can't get their act together

Heres a big F U to all the Law enforcement involved.

It's to bad the county's can't over look an event like this for the sole benefit of all the participating business/hotels/motels/rest. involved. I know when we host our run it is the Biggest weekend of the year for our event headquarters. To bad.
Maybe the owners of some of the establishments good step up to the plate and stick up for the boaters??
