Only 5 days to go. Brought the boat home from the river yesterday so I can get it cleaned up and be ready to head over Thursday afternoon. My local guide might not be able to make it. Tom, you gonna run slow enough so I can keep you in site?

Wow John, great minds think alike. We must have posted at the same time. Yeah, lets run together. However, no matter how fast you are everyone else is only 5 minutes behind at our Poker Run.

Sounds good man. What time y'all planning on putting in? Someone above posted 15 - 20 miles total distance, is that about right? Trying to figure out how much gas to put in the boat.
Speaking of, any suggestions on where to get gas? Any Exxon's near the ramp that are easy to get in and out of with the boat?

I wouldn't even put gas in the boat if you have 1/4 to 1/2 a tank. However, there are no Exxons with easy access. I get gas at a CITGO down Nelson Road, never had any problems.
Very good access at that place. There is CITGO gas at Bowtie marina up the bayou, 93 octane and I have never had problems there either.
We will launch at 8-9 am Saturday. There will be a get together at the boat club on Friday night, call me when you get to town.

Oh, if you get a discount there is an Exxon at Lake St. and Prien lake Rd in Lake Charles. From eastbound I210 take the Lake Street exit then left back under I210. The exxon is on your left. Difficult to get into but not impossible. Also just a couple miles from the I210 boat launch.

Nice!! That was a good ride, thanks for showing us around. I got a few pictures of your boat, I'll post them once I get around to resizing.
Thanks for the offer to ride with y'all Sunday. If it had been just us we would have taken you up on it.
