Only 10 days away.....

1) 8:00AM - Safety meeting at home port will be held outside of AC’s Restaurant at Coles Point Plantation Marina. All boat captains and anyone who purchased a poker hand must attend this meeting. At the meeting you will sign in, get your grab bag and T-shirts, and draw the 1st of the five cards you will draw throughout the day. DO NOT OPEN THE BLACK ENVELOPES YOU RECEIVE YOUR CARDS IN. Any opened envelopes will be disqualified and cannot be redrawn. In addition, lost or misplaced cards cannot be redrawn, so please keep track of your cards. Coffee, juice, water and pastries will be provided at this meeting. Captains, please inform your crew members who purchased a poker hand of this mandatory meeting.

2) 9:00am – All boats leave Coles Point Plantation Marina and idle out to Ragged Point Light located just east of the harbor where group and single pictures will be taken. The pictures will be available for viewing and ordering later in the day back at the home port marina. The signal to proceed to the first stop (waving of the CPPR flag) will be given when the photographer is finished.

3) 10:00am to 12:00pm – 1st stop Fitzies’ Restaurant located on Breton Bay, Maryland where a brunch buffet will be served, drinks are not included. You will draw your second card at this stop.

4) 12:30pm to 2:00pm – 2nd stop St. Clements Island located on the Potomac River just north of Breton Bay. Here you will be able to relax, swim, tour the island and draw your 3rd card from the fire boat.

5) 2:30pm to 4:30pm – 3rd stop Tall Timbers Marina located on Herring Creek on the Maryland shoreline. You will draw your 4th card at this stop. Snacks will be provided. Drinks and lunch will be available at your expense. Please don’t forget to tip the staff!!!

6) 5:00pm to whenever – Final leg of the course, back to AC’s Restaurant at Coles Point Marina to enjoy a buffet dinner, an awards banquet and live band entertainment. You will draw your 5th card and all poker hands will be recorded on the master board.

Additional information:

Notes:
A) Additional poker hands can be purchased for $150.00. The deadline to purchase is by 5:30pm June 21, 2008.
B) All poker hands must be turned in at the recording station between 5:30pm and 7:30pm. Winners will be announced at this time.
C) Buffet dinner will be from 7:00pm till 9:00pm.
D) Live band will perform from 9:00pm until midnight.
E) Don’t forget to check your door prize ticket number (1/2 blue ticket located in grab bag) at the door prize table.
F) Please see below for information regarding optional stops on this year’s poker run.
G) Captains, please pass this itinerary along to all passengers on your boat


Optional Stops: These are not card stops!!!

Coles Point Tavern – Visit anytime throughout the day. There is a voucher included in your grab bag for a soft-side cooler if you make this stop sometime during the day or evening of the poker run. Vouchers will not be honored after June 21st 2008. This stop is located on the Virginia shoreline and is denoted as B – Coles Pt. Tavern on the course map.

High Tides Restaurant in Colonial Beach – use the town pier to tie up to. Visit anytime throughout the day. High Tides Restaurant is located on the Virginia shoreline and is denoted as A – High Tides Restaurant on the course map.

For those leaving from Aylett, Tappahannock area on Friday, lets set up a meeting place and time, I can most likely be ready to pull out around 5 from the house.

Taking half day off today (get off at 9:30) and heading out. Hope to get on the water by 2pm. We're going to stop at Gilligan's on the way down and get our fix of Swamp Water

CYA there about dinner time, meeting up with a few boats in Tappahannock and headn that way,
First time at Coles Point, any input about the ramp there??? Hearing mixed reviews on it.

Ramp is very steep but usable for smaller boats.
