Just curious why the Hyatt is not the host hotel this year, instead it's the Vinoy in St. Pete? Not complaining since it looks like a very nice resort, just wondering why the change?

There are several reasons for the change - The Hyatt is under re-construction, there are only 39 docks available (Many people where getting uptight about not be able to get a slip in the hotel marina (up to 100 boats and only 39 slips !!!!!!!) More sponsor displays where appearing in the parking lot. Many of these like Outerlimits and Mercury were having great difficulty getting in there,.

Real reason -------- The Poker Runners and Sponsors asked us to move to a larger venue where everything would be in one place.

Result............ We moved to the Vinoy Resort and Spa.

We will be back at the Hyatt for the PRA Fall Finale in October.

Come and try the Vinoy - You will enjoy it and you will also get $250.00 off the entry fee to Ft.Myers in April.

That makes sense. Good to know the Hyatt is getting a face-lift, seems about time. Looking forward to checking out the Vinoy. Any idea what the Poker Run room rate is?

Rooms going fast at the Vinoy - There are 51 rooms booked by people who have not registered for the run yet. Don't forget there is a deadline for registrations at all the PRA events this year. Register by March 21st.

There will be NO REGISTRATION on the day of the event.
