Ticfaw BASH 2008
Ticfaw bash is the weekend after the ticfaw 200.
Goin to be one hell of a fun month!:boat: |
Even though its close its still too far away!!! So we're going this Sunday !!:cool-smiley-027: Gonna try to get a drink at every stop on diversion(and Fred's too):D
|
Lake bash is the 10th and our poker run is the 17th. Gonna be a busy month!!!!
|
Awesome. Where does the poker run go? How do you register?
|
Stops will be prop stop, blind river bar, pier 13, hilltop, floyd and donna's, and ending at Bayview. Might be another one in there, not sure. I should know this stuff considering I'm the damn cruise chairman of the club.
Pretty low key, not nearly the hardware as on the 200 or firemans run. Still a good time though. Hands for sale at Alex Stirling Marine ahead of time and at Hilltop that morning. I can pick up hands ahead of time also for anyone interested. |
Oh yeah, and we're going to Orange Beach the last weekend of the month.

That was my old Hydrostream and STV stomping grounds but I don't know if I'm willing to run the Gun down Chene Blanc!!:D:boat: |
Definetely small boat territory. No problems getting a gun through Chen Blanc though. I've done it in a 38 Fountain (I know its not a true 38 :D ) plenty of times and have seen the blue/white/red twin step gun come through there before. Just aren't many places to host a poker run on our side of the lake. Would like to base it out of Pier 13 next year but haven't discussed that with them yet.

Be careful running that boat. In the last two years, I've had to pull two friends from the water and watch them ride AirMed to the hospital. Not great memories for me. Both of those were in open water. Chene Blanc leaves no room for error. Something goes wrong at those speeds and you are in the trees quick. |
Tickfaw 200 is the 3rd, BRBC Poker Run is the 17th.
Where is 4 mile bayou? |

Where is 4 mile bayou? I hope we can make yours this year too, jmeng. If you want to, we'll get together one day and run over to Pier 13 and discuss next year's PR with Guy. Like I said, I',m sure he would be all over it. |
'preciate that. I'll meet you over there one weekend once we get on the water. My fiance just had surgery so it'll probably be a month or so before I'm down there, unless I get a yard pass one day. :D
As far as our run hope you can make it. Definetly more about partying than running but at least we have the prop stop option in there for the guys like me that want to burn some gas. |
Looked at calander and damm.... I just happen to be in for that one on the 17th. Might bring some tickfaw trash with me and do that one. It always seems like I'm at work for all the good sh#$t all the time. Ya'll might have to guide me around that area.

4 mile bayou
Hey Jmeng, 4 mile bayou is when you come out of chen blac get out of all the twist and turns going to chink-a-pen...it is the long staight stretch where they have all the metal buildings for travel trailers...I am looking for them to put a idel no wake there I have had idiots pass me when I was going 30 or so the canal is wide enough for 2 boats, but not going fast...and I hate those fukin jet skies, last year this stupid bit*h passed me on my starboard side and soaked my wife and I, if it wouldn't have been for my wife I would have been onother idiot...thanks babe:hitfan:

Gotcha, I've got a couple of friends with camps in the new section. I usually run through there but keep if fairly slow. Not sure if you knew or not but Chiquipin is only and idle zone for 300 feet on either side of the bridge now. Most people (me included) still idle through the old section.
