Phil, when you asked about a hotel on the lake, I thought you were looking for accomodations. Like AJ said, if you are just looking for a place to pick her up, the casino at the end of Williams Blvd (same road the airport is on but at the other end) would be perfect. A short cab ride for her and I'm pretty sure they have a nice dock too. Don't know that everyone on the fun run Friday will want to trek all the way to N.O. but we can get you pointed in the right direction. Not a difficult run at all.

What about Sunday, anthing going on? Planning on finding somewhere to leave my boat on the Tickfaw side and come get it Sunday morning to run back across.

Funny you should ask! A friend of mine has a bloody mary and omelette party the Sunday morning after every 200. He is on the water right before you get to the condos when coming downstream from the bridge. Nice outdoor kitchen. All you need to bring is maybe a couple lawn chairs. Omlettes will be made to order. He usually makes a public announcement here just prior to the run.

Heard about that before but never met the guy. Would feel a little weird about pulling up at someones camp and holding out a plate. :D
