So far we have more signed up than last year at this time - Unfortunately it seems like a lot of people in this area wait to see what the weather will be like.
Hopefully the weather will be good and we will have a good turnout. It is looking that way.
I am heading down to Old Saybrook on Thursday morning so I am hoping see lots of you there on Friday morning.
If you are thinking of entering this event, do it now. Makes life very difficult for organisers of poker runs to arrange parties, food etc when they don't know how many people are going to attend.
On that note I should point out that for anyone going to 1000 Islands in 2 1/2 weeks there is a DEADLINE for entries and as last year - FOR THIS EVENT WE MEAN IT !!!!!!!
Get your entries in now. (PLEASE) Check out 1000 Islands Poker Run at:

See you all at the weekend.

Thanks all !
I will confirm my hotel reservation tomorrow.
As of now, all systems are a go.
I will be there to shoot pics and help provide exposure of this event and it's sponsors.
All I hope for is some sunshine and some good air shots ...
I'll be giving Carol a call to see what she has in mind in terms of a boat. Big and fast would be great, but I won't be picky...

I've never seen a poker run in my life, wanted to see last years but it was raining where I was so I figured it was raining at in Saybrook too - WRONG! it was sunny and nice so I missed it.
I must say I anchored past the Orient point lighthouse and when these boats came through it was incredible.
We heard them coming for 4-5 minutes and then rhe roostertails appeared as they got closer, nothing but thunder as they passed-WOW great run boys/
