Trying to plan a trip to Miami for the Poker Run next month. Does anyone know how the fire at the Checa Lodge is affecting the trip? Where do most boaters put there boats in at Miami ? I have a 42 Outerlimits and am concerned about parking the boat before launch/outdrives getting stolen, proximity to the Marriott, anyone with recent info would be appreciated.

You can drop the boat in at haulover ramp. they have over night parking and its safe. check with jackie about checa. heard they had a fire also.

Cheeca Lodge did burn but they never had boat dockage there so not a lot of people stayed there. The night before the run most people have the boats in the water already so just the truck/trailer are left at Haulover. They may have security during the bigger poker runs but I can't remember.

Call Jackie at FPC and they can point you to better place to store your rig if you are concerned about Haulover.

The FPC Party is not going to be at the Sagamore this year, & OffShore Only has not approached us about joining us. I will update as we have more final details.

And Grove Harbour Marina is a very nice & safe marina to use as a launch sight for our poker runs. Haulover is $10 ramp, $10 / day storage, GHM is more$, great staff!
