Good morning.
So, we're on a mission. We're trying to experience as many of the hot-spot Poker Runs as we can. We've done Desert Storm, Thousand Islands, an several others up and down the east coast.
I'm being told that we need to experience a run in the Sandusky Bay, and in particular Put-In-Bay area.
It's about a 5-6 hour tow for us from Rochester NY, so it's not bad...but I'll probably only be able to pull it off once this summer. So, is this Sandusky Bay run the one I should consider for that experience?....or is there another upcoming one that would be better for us?
Feel free to PM me if this comes off as thread highjacking.
I look forward to the responses.

Id really hate to dissapoint someone who is traveling from so far away. There generally isnt a huge turn out, usually somewhere between 10 and 30 boats. The best part of our little run is the people who participate and are otherwise involved with it, you will have a hard time finding a more down to earth friendly group. If your heart is set on an overnight at Put In Bay perhaps look into the run that Jeff Wilson puts on in August, its more of a true poker run format while the Pirate run is more laid back with less organization.

Well I think we might come out and play. I'm finishing up some fuel lines and filters in the morning and hit the lake for a spin to make sure everything is working. Never been on Lake Erie except on the Jet Express to Put in Bay about 10 years ago. Been looking at my maps and putting everything in my GPS but need some help with a launch ramp. Need a lot of room to maneuver around. Tight spots just will not work. Coming across the toll road out of Indiana and hope to find something close to where we are staying friday night.
