Five ambulances were called to the scene of the accident.
Six people were transported to hospital on Saturday after their boat capsized on Lake Ray Hubbard.
Five ambulances were called to the scene of the accident which took place around noon.
None of the injuries were thought to be life-threatening.
The crew of the boat were taking part in Ray Hubbard PowerBoat Association's 2009 Spring Poker Run which raises money for charity.

From what i was told he rolled it a the first turn.. some say he might of hit a stump that was marked with a flag but i was not there.. so i am sure there will be a butt load of talking going on.. I will go over and see my freind tonite if he gets back and find out what happened..

Another forum stated he was going too fast in a step haul, 2nd time to drive the new boat, took a turn too sharp, spun out and rolled it. Everyone but drive ejected. One person with broke leg or arm, but ok.

You're correct, although i believe all were ejected. I was behind him. Just tried to turn too hard going too fast. It was his second time driving the boat.
i don't know why someone would say he hit a stump or anything else. That's just completely incorrect and whoever is suggesting that needs to stop.
I've also heard another news outlet reporting that two boats collided. That's also completely incorrect. Dozens of people witnessed what happened. It's just a shame it had to overshadow an otherwise legitimate cause/day this weekend.

The stump story was incorrect... driver error and he is takeing the full blame.. If you ever have ever had chance to hang out with the driver of the boat he is a real good man that made a mistake..
