As far as inexperinnce he has had a 2 other high power boats... So its not like a $$$$$ toy to him!!! Like i said bad deal that could happen to all of us.. 95horn you going to make the ceder creek run? If so i will be in the 24' with twin 300.

Plea Bargain....didn't mean to imply he's not a good guy. I'm sure he is. Just like operating a car, plane, or motorcycle, if you make a mistake, people can get hurt. I'm thankful that no one lost their life.
I guess by inexperience, i mean that my understanding is that he was unfamiliar with this particular boat and had logged less than 3 hours in it.
I would love to make the Cedar Creek Run on 5/16, but I need a little time off after this past weekend's events. The intensity of people getting hurt was extremely taxing on me.

I am with TexomaPowerboater on this one. The guy doesn't know the lake, has 3 hours or less of operation in a new to him 120 mph boat, has six people in the boat, not wearing vests running over 100 and decides to make 85+ mph turn. Sounds like ego >= experience. Luckily God protects the ignorant, because this could have been MUCH worse. No wonder most carriers will not cover our boats. It will not be long before we refer to poker runs as "the good 'ol days".
