Was wondering where do I tie up at at state dock when enjoying the festivities? I have a rented house boat that Il be staying on as far as over night . Dont know all the rules and looking for a mentore. I was there last year and didnt realy learn the ins and out.I was planning on learning them from Kevin till he was tragickly killed. I also have a rented slip at State Dock all the way around back, I know I can use it but hate the idle all the way around and thought someone else may need it for all night. I also may have a couple spots on the house boat if anyone wants (family atmosphere but we plan on Harmon Creek) We'll be leaving thurs morning. Call me Dan 317-946-1921

Red,
Your slip around the back is your best bet for a tie up. If you aren't registered for the poker run, you can't park on the 3 piers where the party and other activities will be. Why don't you run? Another option is to tie up at Jamestown Marina across the cove and take the shuttle across. You could ask someone with a houseboat to tie up at their stern. The idle around back is long, but probably well worth it.

People are talking on the other site about running at night. Thought it should be brought up here also that the GPS is not real accurate with the lower water on the lake. Be careful at night, a lot of people not that familiar with the lake have ended up on the rocks.

You won't be the slowest running, you will be in the largest class. I used to run that class every year and it was always a blast to have the faster classes come flying by you when your midway to the first card stop.

Pulling out at 9pm Thursday night and i can't wait.:boat:

Jmore slow isn't always bad my first poker run I was last to every stop and always at the back even when I tried starting at the front. It was the Lake St Claire run that MOCA did. In the end it was great because I ended up with the best hand and 5000$.:drink:
