This truly disgust me in so many ways. Great way you introduce yourself to the board and make your first few post.

I will be there but not doing the poker run and I hope many others feel the same way.

Default Royal Purple is moving their run to what would have been the Tickfaw 200

Go Ahead Royal Purple Poker Organizers; show everybody your true colors.
Let’s see if I get this straight. What the Royal Purple is doing, is moving their Poker Run to the first Saturday in May. The same day of the late Crazy Charlie Albert’s Tickfaw 200 Poker Run for the past 18 or so years. Boy, Charlie would be some pissed, but I guess since he is dead now, they don’t have to worry about getting their ass kicked by him.
What’s that you say, “You were planning on moving your poker run anyway???” Are there really are people that stupid? And you guys thought hey, Charlie’s gone now, lets grab that day and we’ll be big boys just like Tickfaw 200.
Maybe The Royal Purple Organizers think there are people who really don’t care about honoring Charlie, and would rather just run in a poker run, on that day, no matter who gives it.
Obviously they do not care that there are plans to honor Charlie on that day, to remember him and for all the Tickfaw 200 people to get together just like they have done in all the years past. Obviously they have no respect for Joey, Charlie’s life long friend, which whom he left his beloved marina to.

I found it hard to believe that anybody who participated in the Tickfaw200 will be at this poker run. But hey, birds of a feather. We hope to see everybody that day at the boat procession honoring Charlie Albert, the man who put the Tickfaw River on the map.

The Royal Purple Can have its party at the Treasure Chest Casino, hell it can have its party at the White House with president, and it will never be the ½ the poker run that the Tickfaw 200 was and remains to be. Charlie Albert had Integrity and decency. These traits are what moved him to start the Tickfaw 200 and to give back to his community.
Royal Purple obviously lacks any of these two qualities and seems only motivated by notoriety and greed.

I dont want to get into a argument with the Prop Stop, but why was it ok for them to schedule
their first poker run ever on May 1. Then, when they found out that RP poker run already secured all of the stops for that date they cancelled their run and organized the memorial for Charlie.

I know that RP for 12 years used the Prop Stop for their last stop and it was always
a great time. The only reason it was not used last year was no one knew if it would be open and who the owners would be.

I really believe that if the owners of the Blood River Landing and Dundee Productions puts on the Tickfaw 200 in 2011 they will have their date back, they are the rightful owners of that date around here not the Prop Stop.

If you think there is a big profit to be made putting on a poker run, give it a try. The Prop Stop is the one that stands to make a profit off of anything that happens on the river especially if you add Charlies name to it. Just saying.

Nothing I say is official here, The real organizer of the RP will have a response soon.
