Music City Powerboat Association Fun Run, Nashville, TN July 22 & 23
Join us on July 22nd and 23rd for the annual Music City Powerboat Association’s Haulin’ on Old Hickory Fun Run benefiting the Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW Post 9851 in Hendersonville, TN. Over 70 boats registered last year -let's make it 100+ this year.
This is the 4th and final stop on the 2011 Poker Run Tour. See this link for more details. http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/p...ur-2011-a.html
Friday July 22nd – Meet at the Old Hickory Lock and Dam in the late morning to lock down into the Cumberland River for a scenic ride into downtown Nashville for lunch. (Send me a message if you plan on doing the Nashville lunch run.) Join us later in the afternoon if you would like to volunteer your boat and time to take some our Veteran friends for boat rides. Later that evening meet at the docks for the welcome reception to see old friends and make some new ones.
Saturday July 23rd – We’ll start the day with a breakfast buffet, a Captain’s meeting and then the Fun Run followed by a raft up and floating party. Cap off the day with our Awards Dinner, poker hand reveals, great door prizes and entertainment.

Hotel Cutoff Date Extended to 7/7/11
Please note that the Hyatt Place has extended the block of rooms and set a cutoff date of midnight on July 7th to book rooms using the G-MCFR booking code. I suggest booking early to make sure you get the rate. Contact the hotel if you tried to book recently and was told that the room block was full.
Best regards

Noise Level Advisory
This is to advise everyone attending that no exemption was issued waiving the Tennessee Noise Level Standards for this event.
“(1) No person shall operate any vessel in or upon the waters of Tennessee in such a manner so that the total noise produced by the watercraft exceeds 86 dBA at a distance of 50 feet or more, whether or not said vessel is in motion”
If you have mufflers, you may want to use them. Our ability to obtain the permits required for this event depends greatly on participants’ observing the event rules and the state’s boating regulations.
Thanks
RP
