Tim as usual you did a great job on getting some of those shots. We will definitely have to do this in the spring again. Funny part is my 8 and 12 year old daughters were hitting me on the back to go faster and higher, is this a Dyfus issue?
THANKS AGAIN. A bit tied up with the Quads at the moment to post more pics. I think I may have found a new sport to shoot... The attendance in participants was huge and from what I am told, the one they hold in June is even larger ! Only two other Photographers I saw there shooting and there were probably over 100 participants.. To give you an idea, the halftime break was after Heat #30... :drink: I just finished my 1st Gallery of 600 images. 3 more Galleries to go.... :evilb: Here is my friend's youngest son: http://sharkeyimages.zenfolio.com/im...78130156-4.jpg |

There was a photographer there by the name of Paul Buckley. He was the main photo guy at the time (in N.E. motocross). He used to take 8.5x11" photos and sell them at the races. At the time he was charging $10 and would easily sell 200-300 pics a weekend. This was pre digital. i bet he get at least $15 now and there are more rides. NESC (new england sports commity) has close to 1000 members and 600 plus enteries weekly at there races. Close to 30 races a year. |

thanks guys, Matt Baker Ordering is very simple. Find an image or images you like and click on the "BUY" button. A full menu of the different products that are available are listed there with pricing. Select quantity. Upon Check Out you can crop the image, select the paper, (I highly recommend Metallic Paper) frame, matte, etc... Always PROOF the Cropping even if you do not crop it yourself. Anything outside the Orange dotted line will not be printed. This way way you are sure to order the right picture in the correct ratio format. I also created a step by step Gallery for ordering. Only thing that has changed is the wording. Instead of "Add to Cart" it now says "BUY". How to Place an Order... CLICK HERE ! . |
Yes Matt,
Motocross and Quads Racing is much larger than I ever imagined. With the status of Offshore Racing as it is today, Motocross just might be a good alternative to making money from the Photography Business. After all, the racers themselves can only purchase so many that they actually can use before it just becomes a waste of money for them. With the amount of cards handed out, advertising in all of the Race Programs, I just cannot believe I have not received one sale from any of it to the general public... Unless it is all printed ahead of time and put out in front of them at the time of the race, they probably won't buy... |
