The date has nothing to due with Harborfest, unfortunately we only have so many weekends in the summer. The Swamp Run has always been the 1st Sat in August, last year and the same with this if we used the 1st Sat in August we would overlap 1000 islands pirates weekend and the PRA run (more important then HarborFest). I guess you could get the best of both, go to Harborfest and then when you get home on Sunday you can look at the pics from Sharkey of the event and be able to smile with the announcement of the donation we make to Make-A-Wish. Sorry for the conflict, the following weekend (pirates) you could party twice as hard if you happen to choose to do the Swamp Run and help the kids, I'd even buy you a beer or two!!

Im gonna make a real effort to do this run this year, always want to head out there just never seems to work out. Ill try and get a crew together.....or if my boats not done maybe Tom will pick me up at the docks in a new 36ssr or something.....

Still working and making progress as far as final plans, However we are thinking about running a reverse route starting and ending in Sylvan Beach with many more marinas and night life... Feel free to chime in.
