Anyone want to get together either before Christmas, or the week after before New Years. We could go to Tonys in NYC or another place.

We could also do something the weekend of the NY boat show. Jan 4-8

Did that a few years back. Sadly the boat show wasn't worth the gas, let alone the admission price. I would deff be open to dinner in the city.

I would agree, not real hot on going to the show but what depends on what every one wants to do.

I have a question specifically to the guys running twin 525s and twin 496s. How much fuel did you burn on this run I used approx 80 gallons with my 6.2s. With the above engines what did you burn? Thanks

Mine are basically warmed over 525s and I burn about 80 gallons on this run also.

My 353 has 525's and ITS. I reset my trip meter on the GPS at the restaurant and topped off my tank on the way home. GPS says I went 52.1 miles one way and I burned 88 gallons of fuel on the trip.

I used 175 from nj and back but it was a great run well worth the fuel and my crew had a great time they are still talking about the trip. With a pair 540s and my trip across and under the narrows was very flat going home, four footers in the morning.

So I received a phone call out of the blue the other day from Steve Fennel who is the chief editor of Poker Runs America Magazine. He says he has been following our run here on OSO and thought it would be a great idea to do an article on our run and feature it in the "Power Play" section of his magazine. One of the comments he made it that we offered all the amenities of a full blown run that would cost hundreds to enter for next to nothing, and raised money for a good cause doing it. So we have been going back and forth with a synopsis of the event and he is now working with Sharky on getting pictures for the story. He says it will be in the December issue and it should be a great advertisement for next years run. So please be on the look out to see the article.
