I will chime in with my thoughts. I have been attending the SPBA Pirate Run for over 5 years now and I can only say one thing! This is one of, if not the Greatest Poker Runs going. So with that being said, don’t change a thing!!!! Sometimes bigger isn’t better, but I due understand that change is needed. These type things that should be planned/talked about now for 2013, but not 2012 with many already having rooms reserved...Again just my thoughts

Agree ive done this run from year 1, and if a change for next year is for sure, we need to know by this years runs. most people reserve there showboat and rainbow rooms at the event a year in advance so if moving in 2013 we need to no by this years run so we dont reserve rooms. also ive always had 2 dock slips and i want them again this year. hopefully next year will have docks to accomidate all who want them.

At our meeting tonight it was settled that the headquarters of our Run would remain at the Showboat.
The Run course will be similar to previous years but we are cutting out the stop down the canal at Frog Hollow (old Ervay's) in Watkins Glen.

Sounds like a good idea, hate to have big changes with only a couple of months before the event. I know this will make many happy. Especially the ones that I spoke with about this event.
Either way, its the people, the boats, the weather that make the event.

Question.....if we are not going down the canal are we also not doing the Pirates gig....thats usually where the Pirates and Wenches show their stuff ??
