Pre Boyne Thunder Fun July 11, 2013
 

Greetings boyne thunder participants and marshal boats and those just coming to spectate


On Thursday July 11, 2013 we have put together a small fun run and a party later the same evening and everyone is invited.


Fun run details


We are meeting in Round lake and going to run up to Bay Harbor for lunch at Knot just a bar. For everyone wishing to join us we will be leaving Round lake at noon. Last year we started doing this and had about 10 boats in attendance and would not be surprised if we would have 20 this year. We hope you all can make it and plan to meet everyone for a noon departure out of Round Lake in Charlevoix.


Evening party details


This is a new endeavor and was the brain child of a few of us on the Boyne thunder committee. Whether you attend the fun run or not, if your in town by 7 pm your invited to Boyne Mountain for a cocktail party with hors devours. The party will be on top of the hill at the Eagles Nest. To get there, we will take a scenic chair lift ride on the Hemlock chair to the top and the Eagles Nest is rite where you unload. For those of you that are not from the area, the view from the top is amazing and should not be missed. This party will have a cash bar and the hors devours will be provided due to a few gracious individuals. This event will take place from 7 to 9:30 as the chair lift will be closing at that time and we will ride it back down to the bottom.

Oh Yea 84.2 on the GPS last night on the way to the ramp:daz:

We will be there! Planning on rolling into town about mid-afternoon, so we'll miss the run to Bay Harbor, but we'll be cocktailing for sure.

Oh...and just throwing it out there...but I'll be bringing my mountain bike and hitting up Boyne's trails early on Friday morning if anyone wants to join me...
