Heads up:
Many folks who trailer into town use the Portsmouth City Park Ramp. It's across the river from Norfolk.

I STRONGLY advise filling up the boat before you get into Portsmouth as the streets between the Interstate and the City Park are all very urban and busy, and the gas stations are VERY tight. It can be done, but much less heartache stopping someplace with a truck stop or not so urban.
Also, the ramp is a bit tide sensitive. The ramp area and basin are shallow at low tide. Just be cognizant of such if you have a boat that needs to float off the trailer.
