Hey guys just wanted to go ahead and get info out for folks to mark their calendars for the Tennessee Powerboat Club's Knoxville event. This event is replacing the Tennessee River Rally that has been here for the last 12 years. We have named East Tennessee Children’s Hospital as our charity. It will be a two-day event with a Friday lunch run and raft up on beautiful Tellico Lake. On Saturday we will run to downtown Knoxville Calhoun's and eat where the Vol Navy anchors next to Neyland Stadium. Then Saturday raft-up will be in Prater Flats (a.k.a.party cove) on the way back. We will have registration and sponsorship available at etmotorgear.com very soon. I will also have info on how many overnight slips will be available as well as a host hotel in place - so stay tuned. We are planning an "on water boat show" at Calhoun's Lenoir City on Friday and Saturday night for several invited boats as well as other vendors/sponsors - possibly an exotic car dealer and music entertainment at Calhoun's dockside tiki bar. This will allow us to invite the general public to not only view boats but also help our charity!!! Thanks and stay tuned!

Sorry we missed you guys at the Boat Show... we had another travel hockey game that night. We will be in Knoxville though and will need a slip if possible. Is Hampton Inn still the place to stay?

Yep... Cig sale is pending and picked up the DCB in the fall. Haven't had it on the water yet, but should be a fun little lake rod.

Ok guys i have some new info to pass along. First the Hampton Inn in Lenoir City is comfirmed to be the host hotel 865-988-2000. They have a group rate at 119.00 per night for our block of rooms thru May 15. on thurs, fri and sat. Just tell them you are with Roostertails on Rocky Top group. There is also an Aubrey's rest. and Chilis on the property. ON SLIPS...Calhouns will not sell or reserve the slips in and around rest. and tiki bar. However, as most of you know we really never have a problem getting in there fri afternoon and getting all of them. I am stll gonna work with the other manager to try to reserve some of them anyway for the "invited" boats (pretty much same group chad had in nashville). Also if you want a guarenteed slip you can call Brett at Ft Loudon marina and he has 12 spots available for 30/night but obviously these are not the ones at the tiki bar. We should have registration open at etmotorgear.com sometime next week so stay tuned for that. Thanks and talk to you soon!

Is there any additional info available on this event? I plan on coming up from cartersville, ga. Is there going to be more than one class of boats and is trailer parking available?
