News flash from the Pirates of Lanier Poker Run 2014, Our new Pirate Treasure Hunt is up and running. It is a fun additional event right alongside the Poker Run weekend. Yes, it is another opportunity to help us raise funds for our chosen charities and, equally important, a great way to have fun with your crew competing to win $5000. (In addition to your chances to win one of the top 3 poker hand prizes in the Poker Run) The Treasure Hunt is not a "hole in one" type insured event, it is sponsored by Billy Howell Ford Lincoln in Cumming, GA and the $5000 dollars will be awarded to one winner. So please go to our website to enter the “Pirate Treasure Hunt”. The odds of winning are incredible as a limited amount of Treasure Maps will be sold!

Pick up purchased Treasure Maps Thursday evening at Gianni's to start hunting!

Each map will have clues to the 11 Treasure locations. Get your map punched with a unique punch at each location. You only need 5 punches to have a chance to win $5000.00! Make the most of your chances by finding all 11 Treasure locations! More hole punches, more cards to make your best hand of five! Surrender your Treasure Map with at least 5 punches at the Pirate Casino Treasure Hunt table Saturday night to get your cards. Very simply, the Top Hand wins, no buy in’s, no extra cards! ALL PROCEEDS GO TO CAMP SUNSHINE AND THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF HALL COUNTY!

Friday evening, there will some great music, DJ's and lots of Hot boats to see along
with a fantastic Live auction before the "Captains' meeting.

Saturday, there is a NEW Lunch stop on Poker Run day at Fishtales. Participants will pay a mere $15.00 per person for a full lunch (Menu on our Website) or you can go inside to the restaurant and order on the full menu. Adult libations will be available for non-captains.

If that’s not enough, there will be a Drive-in Landlubber high end Car
show on Saturday while the boats are collecting their cards, the hot cars will be gathering in the Sunset Cove parking lot and their awards ceremony will run congruent with the Poker Run awards and all will mix for the extravagant fireworks display while watching raw footage taken from the helicopter, on the giant 25 foot screen, of the days activities.

AND yes, the car show is also helping us raise funds for Camp Sunshine and Boys and Girls Club of Hall County!

We have over 110 registered Captain’s as of today, so sign up soon as the Host hotel, Legacy Lodge is filling up quickly. Keep in mind we are competing for hotel rooms at Lanier Islands with several weddings and a couple of corporate events.

Never done run. Is it too late to get GOOD reservations at where you want to be and be on the RIGHT dock. Again, looking for advice to do this run right if not too late.

All of the docks are good. Some are just a little farther of a walk.

The resort may have rooms but the other options are not far away and at least 25-40% less.

This is a great event and worth the trip.

A) the trip from the further docks
B) the further but 25-40% cheaper hotels
C) just worth the trip in general
D) None of the Above



I'd really like to make this event some day, sad that it's less than 4hrs from me & I still fail to get there.

I've heard nothing but GREAT things from all that have attended any given year! I'm sure this years event will be no different except even better!
