Don't forget to get the applications in. As Kelly O said, the Rainbow Cove hotel is already booked. The Showbaot resort is booking fast. If you are one of those waiting for the "3 day forecast" and plan to really enjoy yourself and the parties with either 1 or 2 overnights you may have to stay 20 miles away in Geneva or 15 away in Watkin's Glen. Crossing our fingers (as all runs so) but 23 years of no rainouts so far. Traditionally this weekend is in the middle of the best weather of the summer.
What would you rather do, sit at home and wish you could have come and stayed or get in now and book a room now and be glad you aren't sad at home!

Default Docks

For those of you who are interested in getting a dock in front of the Showboat, you better register soon. The docks are fewer this year and if you are one who waits for the 3 or 5 day forecast you will be out of luck for a dock. Our docks are "sponsor" docks and as such you can deduct the fee from your taxes if you have a business.
Also rooms are going fast. If you plan on staying where the action is overnight you need to get on that soon as well.
There is a space for the dock sponsorship on the application form : http://www.rochesteroffshore.com/PDF...RunApp2014.pdf

For anybody silly enough to wait for the 5-7 day weather forecast before signing up, you might want to check the weather for the last 23 Battleship Runs. That'll explain why the Rainbow Cove Hotel is already sold out and The Showboat Hotel is filling up fast. Don't wait and risk missing a great run!

I just talked to Larry (laster here) and it appears that once again, Progression will be "over-represented" at this run with one 77 MPH 22 and one 95+ MPH 24 LD. And yes, those speeds are on GPS. (Checkmate speedometers would read much faster of course.)

It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it.

How do you get the + to turn on your GPS? I can't find that on mine ;-)

That's why I love my checkmate, if I buy a different boat I should bring the speedometer with me? Show boat only had 6 rooms left as of Friday, can not wait to do this run

I talked to the Showboat this morning and they only have 3 rooms left for our run July 18th-20th. If you are planning to come but have not booked your room call today! If you have not sent in your run application do it ASAP! Send it to ROPA PO Box 111 Penfield, NY 14526.

So I fill out the application and the pen runs out in the middle of it...bad omen or what??? Checks in the mail!
Last year put new rims and tires on the truck the day before the run and won top prize. This year I'll have 6 new Maxxis 10 plys on the trailer just before...hoping my lucky streak holds!!!!!
