The new site looks good!
Darlene just checked the old log books, last time we did the Battleship was 2003. We will be running this year for the 25th running!
Are any other Velocity folks running?

I should also add that we will be celebrating the 149th birthday of one of the club's elder statesmen - Roger Fisher - at the meeting. (Yes, he's actually older than me.) Suggested gifts include: Polygrip Denture Adhesive, Depends Undergarments, Geritol, and of course - Black Velvet!

Well, I can think of no better year to return to the Battleship Run than this 25th year! Last there in the late 90's through mid 2000's...then a local run/party same date took priority and have missed being on Seneca ever since. After selling my 29 Formula and a two year hiatus, I just made a deal on a 29 Scarab w/twins, so I look forward to running the lake again with my navigator Chuck D, who will leave his 22' Scarab home for this run. Thanks Bill for the ride last fall on your Fountain, it got me back shopping for an offshore over the winter...Can't wait!

It's going to be kind of neat seeing some faces (and boats) from past runs show up again. Sounds like everybody's got new boats though. Me? I'll be showing up in the boat I've been bringing since 1996. Fortunately, it still looks pretty much like new.

Ever notice how few mosquitos are around my boat though? Remember, weed whackers only smell bad when they're out in front of you - which of course they usually are!

Great news everyone! The application forms for the 25th annual Rochester Offshore Battleship Run are now up and available on the ROPA web site:
http://www.rochesteroffshore.org/#!r...ion-form/c13ap
If I were you, I'd sign up early since this one's probably going to fill up fast. Hope to see you there!
