Keep trying Showboat, if they are full also- get on their waiting list. Both motels keep waiting lists and usually get enough cancellations to accomodate everyone.

Since you are coming from the north, Plan B would include the Ramada or Hampton Inns both located at the north end of the lake in Geneva. They are a twenty minute drive from the event, which is based out of Showboat.

Rumor has it as of last night Rainbow Cove is sold out and The Showboat has less than 10 rooms available, call them asap to reserve a room (607) 243-7434. If they don’t answer, keep calling. You can always sleep on your boat, it has been done many times in the past. One member even brought a separate boat just to sleep on…

Hmmm, as I recall, HE is the one with the Victoria's Secret underwear.

Wait, you aren't just saying that to stir things up, are you?

Oh, maybe you are. Nevermind.

Now let's not all get our panties in a wad here.

Wait a minute. Should I rephrase that?

For those few who may not be following the ROPA page on Facebook, here is a Throwback Thursday special from 2007.

Anyone know these gentlemen? And yes, they did the whole run in that boat. Which prompted a great Arnold Schwarzenegger/Jaws mashup quote from the guy with the hat, "I'll be back. . . but I'm gonna need a bigger boat." And, we might add, a good chiropractor.

Weds. there were 10 rooms left at the Showboat. I've heard several jumped on them so they may be gone but if you call and don't get an answer leave a message. I know there is a girl there every day starting at 9am. If they fill you have 2 options for other places.
Watkin's Glen (south end) is closer than Geneva and on Rt 14 before the village there are a few motels (The Roadhouse, Chieftain and The Glen come to mind) and th Commerce.
Geneva (north end) has some as well, like the Ramada, and you can do a search there.
Remember, for the early registration discount, your application must be postmarked by tomorrow (31st). If you are unsure of crew you can always register you and add crew later
