Yeah once I heard Wally's event was going to be the same day I figured we go there and make an appearance rather than Sand Island. Hopefully the water holds out so we can all get back in there, lol.

Where can I go to get information on water depths/ obstructions for the lake. Not having luck finding a chart.

Lake is full and obey the buoys. Navionics inland lake covers sacandaga.

like newfountainguy said, the navionics program that you can download to your phone or tablet is pretty good. If you follow the group you shouldn't have any issues either.

Hopefully the weather holds out so we have a good turnout. Looking forward to the run.

Where does everyone launch ? Need something not-too-steep, but deep. Any issues with noise on this lake ?

Have always wanted to boat there and meet the regulars, hopefully schedules will work out.

you can launch at Miller's Grandview Marina, 342 Lakeside Drive, Mayfield, New York 12117.
This is where most will launch for the run, there are regulars that launch a 38' Hustler and 46' Black Thunder with no issues. The owner is usually a participant in the run as well. No need to worry about noise, there are quite a few boats that run every weekend with no issues. Hope to see you there.

Miller's Grandview Marina is offering free launching for all Fun Run Participants.

We have a helicopter scheduled for the event to take pictures of the event as well as boat pics for people that choose to pay a small fee. Pricing is going to be about $50 per boat, if you sign up you'll get a numbered decal for your boat so the helicopter/photographer know who to shoot.

We also have a lot of giveaways this year beside the 50/50. We will also be offering the Poker Hands at the end during dinner as usual. Remember, all proceeds go to Mountain Valley Hospice.
