if you could only attend 1 poker run. Boyne Thunder? Or lake of the Ozarks
I run a 30 ft cat, I have run smaller poker runs and last year ran Desert storm. But i live in Wisconsin. And have set a 500 mile range to drive this year for a poker run. Thoughts??

There are 2 major Poker Runs at LOTO and several smaller ones.
MWBP Support Our Troops and the Shootout Poker Run are the biggest ones. |

Buffalo Poker Run, one of the best runs we have ever attended. Don't know if that meets your mileage requirement though.

what would be the best for a 30 ft cat? And when are they? Thanks for your help?
MWBP SOT will most likely be on Friday June 24 in 2016. I've never done the official Shootout Poker Run. We usually just boat around with our own group on a more laid back schedule. I've done the SOT run all but the last two years and its a great event. Lots of videos on youtube and pics on MWBP. |
never been to boyne... but i can assure you LOTO will beat it lol LOTO is like nothing youve ever experianced

Boyne is a phenomenal run, top 3 in the nation I believe. This said it is difficult to get in. I've ran the last few years and experience new things each year. I would place it on your list for sure.
To the above post, I don't see how LOTO blows it away when you haven't attended Boyne.....just nonsense talk. |

LOTO in general rocks. Support Our Troops is a super run and the guys that put on that event are tops. Ran our 25' Advantage in 2013 and 2014 and felt just fine but the water conditions were small boat friendly both times. I think you will totally fine in a 30' cat. The Shootout will be a different story altogether. I hear that lake gets angry when everyone leaves. My brother-in-law has a 40 Outlaw and I would for sure want to be riding around in that and not the 25 for that weekend.
