Default Lake Cumberland Poker Run - 10th Anniversary

From the events and people I've spoken to appears the turnout will be strong. Figured I'd throw up a thread to see who all is heading to State Dock for the 10th Anniversary!

We will be heading down Wednesday evening and heading to State Dock Thursday morning. We will be staying at Lure Lodge and are looking forward to some awesome friends making the trek in from out of town.

Are you joining the fun?

We'll be down all week out of Grider Hill.

Will do the Friday fun run where ever that is. I know last year they did a fun run to Lee's Ford on Friday - and everyone seemed to enjoy that. I was thinking that if we did that this year on Saturday it would at least give the poker run fans the opportunity to see a group of poker run boats running up the lake, albeit in a fun-run format, not a drag race. Or not, whatever, I"m in.

We'll be arriving Wednesday night. Hopefully get the boat in before dark.

The Friday lunch run is alot of fun. In my opinion, there should be a lunch run on Saturday also. Fishtales?

Per the web page it's an open format, no course, no designated start time - starting Friday just go to any marina you wish to in any order and get cards from any marina all weekend.

That's why I was thinking a Fun Run on Friday from the dam to Fish Tales for lunch would be fun, and on Saturday a Fun run up the lake to Lee's Ford for lunch then on to Harmon after. It would give the event the feel of the past since we would be running up the lake on Saturday in a group but without the crazy fast dash to the first card stop like in the past. Just a relaxed fun run. Just a thought. Open to anything.

We did the Friday fun run two years ago and it was fun. If I get my boat all dialed in by then I'm in.

Works for me, only problem is the owner of Conley is a beer Nazi. They did a fun there on Friday a few years back and he went nuts on some members for having beers on the dock - they vowed to never go back.
