2018 Haulin Ass On The Pamlico, June 8th and 9th, Washington NC Home of Fountain!

Alright Ladies and Gentlemen, a little late on getting the post out, the 4th annual Haulin Ass On The Pamlico is happing this year!! This years proceeds will go to a organization called "Angels N Camo". The Angels N Camo raise funds to fulfill hunting and fishing adventures wishes for children in Eastern NC who have been diagnosed with life threatening illnesses. HAOTP is a great, laid back fun run that brings people from all over together to have fun and raise money for a great cause year after year!! So a quick run down for this year: Fridays night party/meet n greed hosted by Bowers Performance & Custom Marine - huge cookout(as usual), loud music, dancing, talkin boat crap, carrying on as we have every year!! We have Kevin Mayor and his crew putting on a show parachuting in, should be cool! Most everybody drops boats at shop and leaves them for the night due to parking issues at hotels in town, everyone is welcome to leave their boat if you would like. This is a BYOB cookout, all the food is supplied by the HAOTP family....and its plenty of it!! We usually start the party around 7pm, but due to changing from the major firework show last year to the much safer:party-smiley-004: parachute show we may have to back it up. NO BOAT ENTRY FEE, just how its always been $15 per person to attend - This includes the your dinner and 1 raffle ticket for the 10 cool items we have for this years raffled at dinner. You can purchase additional raffle tickets for $5 each after you see the items if you would like. No limit on how many tickets you can purchase. "Dirty Santa" will be played with the 10 items raffled off:santa: A Custom golf cart being built by East Carolina Golf Carts of Elizabeth city will be raffled after the run as well. We will only be selling 250 tickets, you can buy as many as you like, but once 250 are sold that's it. So odds are pretty good to win the golf cart. These ticket will be $25 each. Schedule for Saturday the 9th hosted at Iconic Marine Groups facility(formally know as Fountain PowerBoats) -8am to 10am will be registration and dunking your boats. We always have plenty of dock help to make this a speedy process. Please bring bumpers, ropes, and I'm going to say it....a anchor!!lol The anchor will be used later in the day, you'd would be surprised to know how many powerboats don't have an anchor on-board:readinghelp: -10 to 10:30am is our safety meeting, announcements, course, questions, Helicopter pics -10:30 to 11am we will depart Iconic Marine, head to downtown Washington in a show-in-shine parade for the summer festival attendz, leave there and head to Bath NC where a crowd of Angels N Camo supporters will be there to take pics and welcome us, leave there and head to Belheaven NC for lunch stop/fuel, then head to Maules Point sandbar for a +/-2hr. raft-up(party/anchor needed), then return to Iconic Marine. Full details will be discussed at safety meeting. -5 to 5:30ish Start the dinner, raffle, DJ, auction. We thank everyone that has supported us for the last 3 years, we hope you all return this year and bring your friends. All Boat types are welcome, we have had powerboats, center consoles, bow riders, pontoons, cruisers all attend in the past years. We hope to raise the same amount or more for Angels N Camo this year as we did for the children with Lymphoma and Leukemia last year. The Fairfield Inn has gave us a room rate of $105 for the event, you must book ASAP as this town sells out fast. You also have to mention you are attending the Haulin Ass On The Pamlico boating event to get the rate. If they sell out, there are 3 or 4 more hotels in Washington you can turn to. Brad we will be there will our normal crowd of 4-5 boats. I want to tell everyone this a laid back fun run. No matter how fast or how slow you go someone will be around you to make sure you have no issues and to help you get home. The raffle is a great way to support a great foundation and you never know what one of a kind items they will have that you can't get anywhere else.

Most Definitely looking forward this great time. For anyone who hasn't made this run and has reservations about it, drop them and any other plans you may have. As said, this is a great laid back event where everyone supports everyone regardless of how big or how small. You'll definitely leave this event feelling proud to be part of such a great group of people supporting a great cause. |
Thanks for the year after year support guys!! I think with the raft-up this year, its going to make for a really good time on the water...I cant wait. Steve from Blounts Creek with the 43' formula is going to take his grill to the raft up for anybody that doesn't make it to the lunch stop.
Also with the helicopter this year, pics should be awesome!! Comment if you are planning on attending!! I know we have boats coming out of Maryland, Lake Norman, Raleigh, Windsor, Morhead city, South Carolina, entire crew from Gloucester VA, and at least 25 boats locally. |
I'll be there hopefully with the center cancel. So anyone with reservations on being the slowest boat you won't be. |
